In what might have been the biggest news of today’s WarnerMedia 2019 Upfronts (unless you are a huge Black Mirror fan), it was announced that the 4th season of the animated series Rick And Morty will air on Adult Swim starting November of this year. The news was especially poignant for fans of the show because of the looooong gap since Season Three—by the time Season Four rolls around, it will be two years since the last season premiered.
But this news was expected at some point. Last May, Rick And Morty co-creator Justin Rolland reported that the show had been renewed for 70 (count ’em 70) more episodes.
Details on the new episodes were few-to-non-existent today, but we did get this very brief announcement from Rick and Morty themselves:
