Now there’s news that a separate “Joker & Harley” film is also in the works, featuring Jared Leto and Margot Robbie reprising their Suicide Squad roles.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who helmed the 2011 film Crazy, Stupid, Love, will direct. The as-of-yet untitled Joker & Harley Quinn movie is described as a “criminal love story” and “an insane and twisted love story. When Harry Met Sally on benzedrine.”

While 2016’s Suicide Squad was part of that “DC Extended Universe,” it was, like this year’s Wonder Woman, still very much its own “animal.” Add the fact that Robbie’s Harley Quinn generated more excitement than probably all of Batman v. Superman, and…
The proposed Joker & Harley movie is scheduled for after the Suicide Squad sequel.
