Disney recently gave details regarding their upcoming Star Wars Land attractions at their Anaheim and Orlando resorts. They showed off tantalizing concept art Saturday at Star Wars Celebration of the new fan destinations, which they describe as being set in a “remote frontier outpost” on the Outer Rim of the franchise’s universe.
But though these resorts will take place in the “boonies” of the Star Wars landscape, there will be no lack of familiar icons such as the Millennium Falcon—which you will be able to pilot—and “blue milk.”
Said Disney Imagineer Asa Kalama about Star Wars Land:
There are going to be a ton of opportunities to help out and support the Resistance, lots of smugglers and bounty hunters who are looking for a little bit of help and might be willing to offer you up a side job, and for those of you who are interested in supporting The First Order, that will absolutely be an opportunity as well.
So the basic idea is that Star Wars Land is not just a place where you can go on some cool rides, but more of a “story-building” experience.
Star Wars Land is under construction now and is set to open at both California’s Disneyland and Florida’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019.
