Star Wars Forces Of Destiny Dolls Are Kind Of Like Action Figures (And That’s Okay)

Whenever I buy toys for my young niece and nephew, I try to find stuff that they’re both going to like to play with—stuff they can share. Because if I don’t…there’s gonna be a fight!

So something like these new Star Wars: Forces of Destiny dolls from Hasbro are perfect. They have all the aspects of action figures, with articulated joints and whatnot—but are also doll-sized with rooted hair and could theoretically hang out with my niece’s Barbies. The line, which features characters Princess Leia, Rey, Jyn Erso, and Sabine Wren, also includes R2D2 and Chewbacca—I’m covered just buying the lot of these for both kids.

The toy line ties in with the upcoming miniseries of the same name, which focuses on the Star Wars heroines and debuts on the Disney YouTube Channel in July; the dolls hit stores in August.
